COVID-19 has greatly changed the city and with it the people who live in it. The first total shutdown came to Berlin in spring 2020. Almost all of us did home office and home schooling as far as possible and were trapped within our own walls.

Then the short summer of freedom came – with a mask. Now we are stuck in the partial lockdowns again. How will it continue?

In my photos, I want to show the people and their sometimes very different ways of dealing with the virus. Sometimes thoughtful, a little sad, sometimes combative, ironic, well dressed or serene, we all deal with the new life and the new garment mask a little differently.

The photos of people wearing masks will hopefully one day be historic.
